Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (m/f/d) – Udruženje mreža za izgradnju mira

The project “Support to the Prevention and Combatting of Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkans” is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (m/f/d) full-time (100%)in Sarajevo from May 1st, 2023

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a worldwide provider for sustainable development which assists the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation. 

Good governance, the rule of law and respect, protection and guarantee of human rights in line with EU standards are still insufficiently anchored in the countries of the Western Balkans. The project ” Support to Strengthening the Fight against Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking in Human Beings in the Western Balkan” project.” (CTHB) contributes to improving the conditions for preventing and combating human smuggling and trafficking in human beings in the countries of the Western Balkans. The project commissioned by BMZ is co-financed by the EU and implemented by a consortium of 4 multi-partners.

Your Responsibilities and Tasks: 

  • Design, develop and implement an effective M&E system and responsible for reporting to BMZ and EU
  • Design, implement and oversee processes related to data collection, maintaining contacts, and building networks, preparing, managing, and assuring the quality of any evaluation missions 
  • Organize relevant outcome harvesting and carry out analysis of data to be included into all relevant project documents, specifically support the drafting of quarterly, annual, and other relevant reports for EU and BMZ       
  • Processing the monitoring data for the purpose of project steering and preparing internal and external reports and communications
  • Act as the focal point for M&E and learning framework for the whole CTHB project (including the consortium members)
  • Setting up, structuring, and maintaining the knowledge management system, and analyzing results and lessons learned
  • Setting up the technical solutions for the collection of data from all team members
  • Organize, where applicable, M&E briefing, on the job training advise on M&E the team members or beneficiaries and partners
  • Filing all relevant documents in DMS and support the creation of a logical folder structure

Your qualifications/competences:

  • University degree (e.g., social sciences, public administration, business administration or management).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management or advisory services with setting of variety of partners and tasks
  • Working experience in WB6 countries, preferable in the countries of the assignment
  • Good working knowledge of IT and communication technologies 
  • Very good knowledge of German and English; Bosnian is a prerequisite
  • Sound understanding of the EU accession process of the WB6 economies 
  • Good management, networking, and organisational skills
